JOEYS FISH BATTER, 2lb
The perfect fish batter!
DIRECTIONS
Directions to coat 6 pieces of 4 oz (133g) fish
YOU WILL NEED:
· 158g (1 cup) flour to dip fish
· 158g (1 cup) of Batter Mix, using a levelled dry measure
· 175ml (3/4 cup) of cold water
· 10 ml (2 tsp) of white vinegar
PREPARE:
Preheat vegetable oil in deep fryer or preheat 1-2 cm (1/2 inch) of vegetable oil in skillet on med-high heat to 176C (350F). Add flour to a seperate plate to coat fish.
MIX IT UP:
Add batter mix, water, and vinegar to large bowl. Stir with wire whisk until no lumps remain.
FRY IT UP:
Lightly coat fish in flour, shake off excess. Add floured fish to batter and coat evenly.
· Deep fryer: Add coated fish to deep fryer and cook for 4 mins or until golden brown.
· Pan fryer: Add coated fish to pan and cook for 2 1/2 mins each side or until golden brown.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towel. Fish is done when golden brown and flakes easily.
Ingredients: Corn starch, Enriched flour (flour, fungal amylase, niacin, iron, thiamine, mononitrate, riboflavin, ascorbic acid, folic acid), Seasoned salt (salt, sugar, spices, dehydrated onion, dehydrated garlic, corn starch, annatto, high oleic sunflower oil), Baking powder, Canola oil and/or Soybean oil, Calcium carbonate (dough conditioner), Sodium erythorbate (antioxidant).
